For 73 years, the Soapbox Derby™* has been a great family sport that provides a healthy outlet for that competitive urge. Dove Ranch proudly brings soapbox racing to the Bayfield/Durango community.
Last year we had a beautiful day to showcase our 13 cars with drivers ranging in age from 8 to adult. Concessions were provided by The Buck Stops Here and the Bayfield Lions Club. Habitat for Humanity sponsored a beer garden and the Hounds of Purg, a group of 13-year-old kids from a Durango middle school provided entertainment. Approximately 400 spectators had great fun!!
